Focus on The Positives!

What's up guys and girls!  Happy EARLY Thursday morning!  How was the day on Wednseday?  All was great for me; it was another beautiful day here in Southern California!  It was actually a little bit on the cool-side - and it was also a bit cloudy - (rare for CA!!) but it was still amazing!

There is so much beauty to be seen in each and every day.  I posted a quote to  my Instagram account this evening, and the quote reads, "When it rains, look for rainbows.  When it's dark, look for stars."

This quote is fantastic.

It reminds us to constantly seek out the positives of all situations.  At times in life, it may not be easy to see each and every blessing that is within every situation.  Life can bring challenges our way, and some we may not be prepared for!  However, if we remain in a mindset that is positive, hopeful, eager to learn and if we aim to "go with the flow," lessons-to-be-learned eventually become clear.

It is very easy to focus on something negative.  Let's look at an example:

Say that you are struggling financially.  Focusing on the problem itself and dwelling on it will not make you feel better.  You may find yourself in a mental loop, repeating such things as, "I'm so broke" or "I have no money," or "It's so annoying to not have any money."

Guess what?  If you focus on the negative idea of what you don't have, not much is going to change.  In fact, you'll be dragging in more negative energy into your life which, in turn, will likely hold you back from actually growing in all areas of life, including "financially."

Instead, when faced with a hardship, focus your energy on the positive aspects of the situation.  In the financial example above, though it may be true that money can be tight at times, focus on how much you already have in life!  And truly appreciate everything and everyone around you!

Focus on seeing yourself as a success.  As I mention in another article, your "success" has much more to do with how you define it, rather than monetary value.  (Click here for the article.)

Money can't buy true friendship, happiness, or anything truly worthwhile in life.  Besides, there are always ways to make more money, and being open to all possibilities will lead you to right opportunity for you!

This is just one example of many.  There are always positives to be found in all situations, sometimes we just have to take a very close look at a circumstance.

I'll close this post with a great quote from mental health scientist, Dr. Wayne Dyer:
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

Choose to look at the positives, my friends!  It's sooo much better than negativity!

LOVE YA!  :D
