Hey what's up guys and girls!!

How are ya?  I'm doing well tonight; just sat down with some salad and am cooking pasta!!  (This is what I eat, essentially, every night.)

It was very hot out here in L.A. today, and although I absolutely LOVE the heat, (it couldn't be hot enough for me!) it bothers me when I have to wear pants!  I know that sounds kind of ridiculous, but, as most of my followers know, I like to feel free and wear nothing but board shorts.  All day, every day.  Haha.  I will end up living on the beach full-time at some point in my life.

I posted a photo to my Instagram account today reminding you to be who you are.  There's no need for you to be anyone other than yourself.  You're beautiful, and I hope that you realize this about yourself.  You can achieve anything that you truly set your mind to.

The only limits that you set are the ones that you set on yourself.  I say, allow your light to shine and go for it; whatever "it" is for you!

Have a great night, friends!

Early Tuesday!!  Thoughts on Being Spontaneous!

Hey guys and girls!!  Happy early Tuesday morning!  Yet AGAIN I've been awake for nearly 24 hours working on a ton of different projects!!  And, my friend and social-media follower, Chrystal, you were right - I posted this blog Tuesday morning instead of Monday night haha!  :D

I have to admit something, my friends:  I don't have a very good sense of time.  I try - and I want - to do EVERYTHING - all at once.  It's crazy.  Just ask my friends who are a part of the "SQUAD" and they'll tell you that I frequently misjudge time.  LOL.

Let me start by writing that misjudging time when it affects other people and their time is not right.  I find that to be disrespectful.  (I honestly TRY to be on-time for this reason, always.  It's true, Kate!! Even when I make you wait longer than expected before ordering the Uber hahah. Know that I truly value your time and friendship!!)  :)

Now, I do think that misjudging time is OK, in certain respects. Namely, it allows room for spontaneity!  I like to be spontaneous.  I have never been one to enjoy a super-strict schedule.  I've found it to be difficult to be spontaneous when you're living life confined to a strict schedule.  Is this healthy?  I'm not sure.  I suppose having a lot of "structure" is just not my style.

This certainly doesn't mean that I don't like to have any structure in my life.  I do like having some structure and stability of course, especially when it comes to work!  For example, I have a set-amount of time that I write, every single day, regardless of how busy I am.  Even if it's just a few words, I write.  This doesn't always occur at the exact hour that I have set as "writing hour" in my iPhone, but it always happens throughout the course of the day at some point.  For example, right now, at 2AM.  I feel creative at this hour.  :)

Sleep should probably take some sort of priority, however. Maybe I'll make a sleep schedule someday. Maybe.  Ha.

Anyway, friends, just thought I'd share some thoughts.  You know, I like to think of my life as being spontaneous- while still responsibly-structured.  That's a good way to describe it I think.  :)
It works for me, at least at this point in my life.
I often wonder, dating-wise, if I will meet someone who is similar to this spontaneous way of living life?   Hmmm...

I'm single, still, by the way.  ;)

Anyone want to grab coffee sometime? #spontaneity.  Haha.

Live It Up Today!

Hey guys and girls!

Happy Thursday!  How's the morning started off for you?!

It's a beautiful one here in L.A. - and there's actually a tiny, tiny hint of "fall" in the air here today. We don't really experience much of a "fall" season in Southern California, (personally, I love summer all year long!)  Still, it was kind of nice to wake up to a bit of a crisp feeling in the air.

I hope that your day today is filled with lots of smiles and love.  Try not to let any time go by today without remembering how fortunate you are to have the moment at hand.

It's understandable that it's not always easy to focus on only the "good" things about life when things are very difficult for you.  And life can certainly be very tough.  However if you remain fully present - along with keeping faith for the future - I believe that you can still see the beauty of all moments along the way.

Yesterday, I posted a song cover of a song on my YouTube Channel that I love which outlines the importance of "living it up" while we can.  "5 Seconds of Summer" and their song, "Never Be" tells a message of being young; and how we all will "never be as young as we are now."   And none of us will be as young as we are now, regardless of our different ages.

We must enjoy today and capture each moment of youth for as long as we can!

Enjoy the day, my friends!  I'm off to write for acting.about.com ! Woooo! :D

Early Morning in My Hollywood Apartment

Hey guys and girls!  Well, here we are, another 12:40 am post haha.

I really should get some sleep.

But, like I've mentioned a zillion times on my blogs, I don't like to sleep as I am too energetic!  I'll try to get some shut-eye in a bit though.  Just for a couple of hours to let my body rest.

Maybe.  Haha :)

I've been writing a lot of the evening, working on articles for acting.about.com and at one point, I stepped outside to my balcony for a few minutes.  I watched all of the city lights, and I snapped the photo that you see attached here.  As you can see, it is a photo of LA at night, and it is so beautiful!

This photo reminded me, once again, to constantly look for the beautiful moments in life.  I aim to do this as often as possible, however, life can get in the way sometimes.  And unfortunately, life can be hectic and crazy sometimes!  When life gets hectic, it can be harder to see all the beauty around us.  But it is so important to seek the beauty around us, and not let a moment pass without acknowledging the beauty and miracles in that moment. When we take a few seconds to focus on all of the beauty around us, not much else matters.

I can already write with confidence that you are a beautiful person, and you have much to offer our world simply by being who you are.

So, take a couple of moments to appreciate yourself.  Allow your beauty to shine, friends.  <3

Talk to you in a few hours.  Maybe sooner, if I decide not to go to sleep. Haha.

(PS I posted to my "BeachDay" blog earlier this evening, if you have a minute to check it out!)

Lots of love to you,

Jesse x

What's up guys and girls!

I hope your Labor Day Weekend was fun, and I hope that Tuesday has been a good one for ya.  It always throws me off when there is a holiday that's on a Monday.  Tomorrow is already mid-week! That's pretty crazy.  What's also crazy is that this day is now coming to a close!  It's 10PM.  Is time going faster these days?!  I swear it is...

Flashback to this morning when I woke up:  I took a few moments to observe the rising sun. Granted, I must admit that after a wild weekend in Las Vegas with some of my best friends, I'm still recovering some-what!  So, while I was certainly a bit groggy and my eyes were having a tough time adjusting, I kept watching the sunlight hitting the palm trees in Hollywood, and illuminating Runyon Canyon.  I can see these things from my apartment, which is incredible!  I also recently noticed that I can see the iconic "Capitol Records" building from my apartment, too! (It only took me 6 years to figure that one out.)  Haha.

Anyway, as I was watching the sun come up I made a concentrated effort to look around and appreciate what was in my view.  Whenever we wake up to the gift of a new day, I believe that it is important to acknowledge the gift.  The mere fact that we're all here just floating around on our planet never ceases to blow my mind.

After feeling refreshed for the new day, I went straight to work on writing articles for acting.about.com - which I love to do! - and I visited with some of my friends at the location where I write!  In fact, if you'd like to see how a typical day at the office looks, click here to watch my new YouTube video!  (I'll also attach it below this blog.  And yes, Benice did accompany me today!)

Friends, every single day brings with it many gifts, and sometimes all it takes is a few moments to appreciate them.

When you wake up in the morning, before rushing off to school or work, simply aim to watch the sunrise and feel happy that you're able to do so.  I can almost guarantee you'll feel good and ready to take on the day!  (Don't look directly at the sun obviously as it is bad for your eyes haha.)

So, assuming that the sun does rise tomorrow (c'mon sun rise, rise!! lol), the gift of a new day will be all yours.  What will you do with it?

Love ya!

When Opportunity Knocks...

What's up guys and girls!

It's 11pm here in California, and it's been an action packed day for sure!  So much going on, lots of work, all very good things!  Because it's been such a wild day, this post is another one that is short and to the point!

This evening, while talking with some of my friends, I was yet again reminded to do what I constantly aim to do:  Take hold of the current moment, the current opportunity to live it up, and run with it.

Life can get extremely busy with work, obligations and lots of other things.  However, it's extremely important to remind ourselves that we have right now.  That's it.  That past is over, and we have no idea what tomorrow will bring.  It does no good to worry about the future or dwell on the past.

All that we can do is do the best that we can in the moment that we have, be the best person that we can be, and  - I think - have as much fun as possible!

Life won't wait for us!  Let's live it up while we can.

--- So, aim to live it up in all moments, my friends!  ---

Lots of Love!

Never Stop!

Hi guys and girls!

How are you?!  I hope the night is amazing for you!

This post will be fairly short - as I am headed to bed pretty soon haha.  (Most of my readers know that I don't sleep much, so my going to sleep might come as a surprise to you!  But I'm only sleeping for about 5 hours, so don't worry!)  Haha.

This short post has to do with moving forward, not giving up, and not stopping until you achieve your goal - whatever your goal may be.  Maybe you have lots of goals and dreams.  Guess what?  They are all able to be achieved, no matter how "difficult" they may seem to be.

As I pointed out on my first post on writing platform, "Medium," in order to reach our full potential and reach our goals, I believe that we all need a little bit of encouragement sometimes.  Life can be really tough, and it's important, and having friends to depend on and friends who will encourage us truly makes a big difference.

Fortunately, we are all friends!  And we share kindness and love.  And thanks to the power of social media (including YouTube!), that circle of new friends continues to grow.  We all have the opportunity to inspire each other, and remind each other to keep moving toward our goals and our dreams.  I think that my followers are honestly the best anywhere!

As I've mentioned many times, thanks for being my friends.  Let's share more love with the world, together.  And never stop dreaming!
