Hello and happy Thursday, my friends!  To clarify, in the above title, by "SHE", I'm referring to an awesome "Dalien", a fan/follower/friend (I consider you all to be my friends!)  Her name is Chelsea, and she lives over in the United Kingdom!

Chelsea had sent me a letter in the mail, and I received her kind letter yesterday.  Her words reminded me of one of the reasons why I feel as blessed as I do!

I have made many connections with you guys and girls through my twitter, through "DALEY PLANET," a place where everyone is accepted and loved!  Throughout my career in the entertainment industry, I can honestly say that connecting with you all on social media (and of course, in person,) is one of the many unexpected "highlights" that I've experienced.  I could have never imagined receiving letters, tweets, cards, and more!  I can't tell you how happy that makes me feel.

A career in entertainment can come with hard days.  I've written a lot about that here on my blog, and also on acting.about.com. But simply knowing that I have helped, (in a small way,) to brighten someone's day in a part of the world where I've never even been, makes me smile!  So, thank you, Chelsea, and thank you to all the "Daliens" out there!!

Remember to always be yourself, and continue to strive to make others around you feel happy!  It all begins with a smile.  :)

It's All So Temporary, So LIVE IT UP!

Happy Friday, guys and girls!  My day has been a great one so far, and I've gotten a lot of writing done for acting.about.com  (I truly hope that my articles help you all!!)

On another note, I also had my car in the shop today - just an oil change, luckily nothing was wrong with it!  That 1998 Nissan Altima is unbelievable - in amazing shape for having over 204,000 miles on it!!  Haha.

OK, anyways, I've also been thinking a lot today, and I thought I'd share some of my thoughts with you all.

I was thinking about how easy it is to forget how fragile life is.  In Hollywood, life seems to move at a faster pace than other places that I've lived.  As much as the "fast life" of L.A. is entertaining (there's literally NEVER a dull moment!), I find myself yearning to slow down and just reflect on life more often.

I think we all need to reflect on life.  Everything in life is so temporary.  Everything will come to an end someday (as sad as that fact is!)  SO, to focus on the positive, enjoy the time that you have, right NOW!

Promise me that you will try your best every day to smile more, laugh more, and just LIVE more. Tell people what they mean to you.  Turn your dreams into your reality.  It's not too late!  And although all things in life are temporary, if you live it up every single day, you will never feel any type of regret.

LIVE IT UP X

Hello, and good morning guys and girls!  I hope that you're smiling a lot already!  I am writing to you this morning to quickly say "thank you" for always helping me to smile and to feel happy.

Throughout the pursuit of my dream here in Hollywood, there have been days that have been overwhelming amazing, and there have been days that have been excruciatingly difficult.  All of us have days that are tough, as everyone is struggling with something in their life. Although I always try my absolute best to remain positive and feel happy, being human, there are days that I have which are not good.

That being said, you, my friends, help me to get through those days, whether you realize it or not! When we share a word of kindness, a kind tweet, or a smile, a bad day can be turned into a great one.  You're a huge reason that I'm still working towards my goals!  You make me happy.  And you know, the main reason that I wanted to become involved in entertainment in the first place was in order to (hopefully) make a lot of people smile, be happy, and be entertained. I continue to work towards those goals, and I won't give up.

So, thank you all for helping me to remain happy and helping me to always smile!

Lots of Love!!

Chill Day!

Happy Saturday, guys and girls!!  I hope your day has been a great one so far!  I've had a really nice, relaxing day here in Hollywood.  In fact, I haven't even left my apartment building all day!  Well, I did get a doughnut right down the street, but that doesn't really count.  :P

I'm very fortunate to have a pool in my building, and I was able to soak up the California sun and hang out with friends for the majority of the day.  Gotta love Hollywood!  Plus, Santa Monica isn't far, and I may run over there tomorrow!  Come say HI if you're at the beach!  :)

It's important to take a day to just relax, and have a chill-day.  We all work very hard in our jobs and too much stress is not a good thing.  Your body needs some good relaxing time.

I hope that you allow yourself to have some down-time this weekend, and  take a little time to relax. You owe it to yourself!  :)

Enjoy The Ride!

Happy Monday, guys and girls!  I hope that you all are having a great day so far!  This past weekend was really great, and it was the first time in a long time that my mom and I were able to spend Mother's Day together, now that she's living in California!

It is extremely important to "enjoy the ride" as my mom explained when I saw her yesterday.  Though life can certainly be tough at times, it is very important that you keep moving forward, and enjoy each day as it comes.

If there is something that you are anxious about at the moment, try to just take a step back, and just breathe. Everything is going to work out the way that it is meant to.  I firmly believe that if you know what you want to accomplish, you will reach your goals even if you don't exactly know how it's going to happen.

Envision where it is that you see yourself in your life, and you will ultimately gravitate to that location.

What Would You Change?

A career in entertainment is random at times.  Currently working as a writer, an actor, (and many other jobs in between!) I have come to understand why many people don't continue the pursuit of this dream.

It's tough!  You're constantly trying to find ways to make money, keep your time open for auditions,  have relationships, and keep your sanity through it all!  There's no such thing as a "set schedule" in this career path.  Things can change in a moment (just like with life in general!)

However through it all, through the ups and the downs, I've also come to understand that I wouldn't change anything.  The experience that I've had so far in my career in entertainment has been incredible.  You've got to do what makes you happy, and I encourage you to TRY IT ALL!

As I've written about previously, I often ask myself, "Would I change anything today if I knew I'd be gone tomorrow?"

If you can answer that question and honestly know that you wouldn't change much in your life, then you're doing a pretty great job, if you ask me.  Obviously we'd all like more money, right!?  But the point is to do the best you can with the resources that you DO have, and we all have so much to offer the world.

If there is something you'd like to change in your life, start today!  You can make a change in just a few minutes.  Click here if you don't believe me!  ;)

Singing is on my list to do more of.  I'm going to get working on that today.  Surfing more is also on my list, and I'm going to be in the ocean this weekend!  (Gotta love ORANGE COUNTY beaches!!)

Try it all, my friends.  Follow your dreams.  Life is too short not to!

MUCH LOVE and PEACE OUT! x

You Are Loved

Hello and happy Wednesday, guys and girls - I hope that your day has been wonderful so far.  As I say often, it is always important to share as much love as you possibly can, with everyone around you!

As we all know, some days are harder than others.  And we don't always know what someone may be dealing with. Sometimes, simply smiling and offering a kind word of encouragement to a friend, or even a stranger, can make all the difference in the world!

And when you help to make someone else smile, you really do feel good inside, too.  When I feel sad about something, or when I am having a hard day, it makes me feel better knowing that I can brighten someone else's day.  It's easy too, just by sharing a little smile!

We must all remind ourselves that life is short, and it's important to keep your head up as often as possible.  I say it a lot on this blog, but smile and share love as often as you can!  There are good days and not-so-good days. Yet through it all, love is what carries us through.  And through love, anything is possible.

So, smile for me, will ya?!  If you need a reason to smile today, remind yourself that you are loved - by many people!  :)

Putting Anxiety On The Back Burner

Happy Friday, guys and girls!  When I woke up this morning I was thinking a lot about my life.  I often do this, but this morning I've been feeling quite anxious and dealing with some stress.

Anxiety is something that all of us deal with on some level, and I happen to struggle with it a lot, whether other people ever realize it or not!  I believe that feeling anxious is often (in part) a reflection of feeling that we are not in control.  Therefore, I asked myself, "Why do I feel anxious today? And, "What do I feel that I don't have control over?"

Well, as I've written about time and time again, there's not much of anything that we truly have any "control" over in any area of life. All that we have any kind of control over is how we react to a situation that is right in front of us, right now.  We must train ourselves to not worry or be anxious about the future, (which is unpredictable) and certainly not the past; (it's over, and never coming back!)

As I realized what it was that was making my anxious, (certain relationship anxieties, acting career unknowns, etc.)  But then, I stopped myself.  I honestly just stood up, went over to the window and watched the rising sun.  It was so beautiful and warm.  And it was big, and bright.  It helped me to remember how small I am as a person in this big world.  And it helped to remind me how so much is out of our control.

But it also reminded me that I can make a big difference by simply getting up, facing my anxieties, and just keep moving forward!  Whether we like it or not, the sun is going to rise and set, and it is what we do during that day that we have a small element of control over.  So, do the best you can every  day, and most importantly, be good to yourself and everyone around you!

And smile more often! :)
