Hi guys and girls!!  How are you?!  I am GREAT - and so was my birthday!! It's funny that when your birthday falls on a Wednesday, you can actually party the entire week (and both weekends before and after the birthday) and not feel like it's too selfish to party that much!  I'm still looking forward to the next few days of seeing friends and having a great time.

I want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you who took the time to wish me a happy birthday.  Honestly, I have so many wonderful friends from all over the world, and it is because of you guys and girls that I am able to smile so often.

Back in 2008, I joined twitter, and I didn't use it much.  I could have never dreamed that several years later I'd have friends from all over the world!!  You guys and girls make up DALEYPLANET - a twitter-land that represents love and positive vibes.  Everyone is accepted on DaleyPlanet, and I simply want you to know that you mean very much to me!  Hollywood is a tough place sometimes, but having you guys and girls along this ride with me has been amazing.

I'll be uploading a VLOG about the trip to VEGAS that some of my best friends surprised me with, and that should be up by tomorrow or Saturday!!

LOVE YOU ALL!! :))))

A Lil Inspiration on a #Thursday Morning!

Happy Thursday, guys and girls!  How's everything in your life this morning?  I hope you're waking up feeling happy and excited about this brand new day!  It's extremely important to remind yourself that with every new morning comes a new opportunity.  Regardless of what has happened in the past, you have today to start again!  You have a fresh, new canvas on which you can paint an entirely new picture, should you choose to do so!  YOU have the power.

As I've mentioned many times here on "Behind the Sign," (as well as on acting.about.com!) all we have is this exact moment.  The future is uncertain, and the past is completely over and not able to be changed.  All that we can do is to try the best we can, given the moment that we have.  Now, at 9AM on the dot on DaleyPlanet (which operates on California time,) a new day is here - and it's time to do everything possible with it to enjoy it!

Challenge for Today

Take some time today to think about what makes you happy.  If you're working in a job that you love, living your dream, keep doing it!  If you feel that you should make a change, do that too.  There is no better time than now  to start truly living life to the fullest.

Here's to a brand new day -

Seriously amazing tonight.  Honestly you guys, I feel so blessed to be able to have the opportunity to learn the craft of acting.  Even if I never work on a television series again, simply having the experience to work as an actor is such an awesome feeling!  And it truly is all about feeling!  If you haven't tried it yet, what are ya waiting for?!  I can guarantee that you'll learn an immense about yourself!

I really don't have enough great things to say about my fellow actors.  They are incredible men and women, and as I've mentioned before on my websites, I feel like I consistently meet the most amazing artists in the world!  Thanks for constantly inspiring me, my artist friends.

I find that actors (as well as artists in general) are extremely connected to who they are.  True artists are present, real, and not afraid to be who they are.  I believe that there is an artist within each and every one of us, and accessing and finding your creative side which can allow so much more of your individual beauty to shine.

Embrace who you are.  Your ethnicity, sexual orientation, mannerisms, everything about YOU makes you the awesome person that you are.  Be you.  And LIVE IT UP!!  <3

As many of you know, DaleyPlanet is all about acceptance and love!  Thanks for being a Dalien, and being a part of this movement of LOVE :)

AND while on the topic of LOVE, here's a new read for you to check out.  ;)

That #PowerBall Was Great, But...

...What if you didn't win?

Guys and girls, happy Thursday.  How are ya today??  I'm currently writing from beautiful Santa Monica!  BENICE has wanted to go to the beach lately, so I decided to take him with me.  I'll post a pic of him on my Instagram in a little bit!

My thoughts today have a lot to do with the hype around the lottery yesterday.  It fascinates me how so many people become extremely excited over the idea of winning the lottery!  Now, obviously, the idea of winning a lot money is exciting - but what I mean is, it's fascinating how many people are looking to winning the lottery in order have a better or different life than the one that they are living.

What I want to remind everyone of is that we don't need to wait to win a ton of money to feel happy or excited about life.  We already have the power within ourselves to make life better, or change our lives, should we feel that we need to do so.  Does money make some things easier?  Yes.  But, if you're living your dream life (including pushing forward every single day toward your goals even when it's tough,) then you're already going to feel like you've won the lottery!

Keep envisioning what you hope to accomplish, share love, and work hard toward your vision/goals every single day.  By doing so, you'll be creating the life that you always have wanted to live.  And it won't really matter if all those numbers match the Powerball or not.  ;)

Keep the faith, and never give up the pursuit of your dream!

Love you guys and girls!

...And I feel brand new!...  (This is a great lyric from the song, "Hurricane," by "The Vamps.")  (YES, I'm a fan haha.)  Those guys are super talented!  I enjoy their music because it's positive and energetic!  On the off chance that any of the band members are reading this, WELL DONE GUYS!  (Brad tweet me!)  Haha.

On to this short post of the morning!  HOW ARE ALL OF YA?!  It's another beautiful day here in Los Angeles, and it's supposed to be almost 90 degrees all week!  Remember how I mentioned that I think you guys and girls should come out here?!  Now you have another reason!  Especially my friends in Boston, you all deserve to see some sunshine!  I hope you'll visit sometime!
(LINDSAY!!  Haha.)

I find that I wake up feeling refreshed after having a great acting class.  My class ended last night at about midnight, and I find that I love that time of night.  Maybe I am more creative at hour? Or perhaps it's simply that I don't really like to be asleep, so I can be up doing more things.  Sleep is boring!  Anyway, I'm not quite sure why I love the late-night hours, but in any event, it's nice to wake up feeling refreshed.

I'm now about to meet up with my friend Liz to grab some breakfast, then off to more acting classes. Gotta love life in Hollywood!

Have a great day guys and girls, and remember that here on DaleyPlanet, you are loved!

Goin' for It!

Happy Sunday evening, guys and girls!!  How's the day been?!  I have been down here in beautiful Orange County with some of my friends from college and my mom this weekend.  As I have written about here on my blog before, I love to be constantly on-the-move, but sometimes it's great to come down to the OC and relax a bit!

Now, truth be told, after a few minutes of relaxing, I get bored! Haha.  This weekend, after chillin' for a few minutes, I worked on a song cover for you guys and girls, and have been spending time writing. I try to write a little bit every single day.  As is true with everything in life, the more you do something, the better you become at it! More than anything, I love writing to connect with all of you. You guys and girls have become my friends, and I honestly learn from you, and you help to inspire me every single day.  DaleyPlanet is filled with a lot of love - all thanks to you!
I'll be posting the song cover this week.  Hoping that you will enjoy it!

Music is something that has been a part of my life for a long time.  I grew up singing in choirs, music groups, taking voice-lessons, and playing the piano!  It was always so much fun, and I ended up taking a bit of a break from it from about age 10 - until, well - now!

I've been working with my acoustic guitar and working on singing recently.  I've realized how much music is a part of my life.  I'm not sure on what level, yet.  But, there is never a better time to pursue your passion than RIGHT NOW!  GO FOR IT!

Simply knowing that I'm going to involve myself more with music makes me feel great inside.  And I know that ALL of you have gifts within yourselves; never be afraid to share your gifts with the world!!
I'm off to watch the 57th Grammy Awards!!  Love the Grammy's.

I thought I'd include a nice quote in closing!

"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference."

- Serenity Prayer - Reinhold Niebuhr

...It's already hot outside today, and it's just after 12-noon!  Seriously you guys, I still cannot believe how it is winter and it can be so warm here in California.  If any of you enjoy warm weather, please, please come and hang out with us out here!  It's incredible!

I could go on and on about warm weather and sunshine, as it makes me extremely happy haha. However, I'm writing my post this morning to remind all of you that, regardless of something like weather, (or anything external factors for that matter,) we can find happiness within us.

There is always something to feel happy about!  Even on a "bad" day - which all of us may have once in a while - we can train ourselves to focus on the good aspects of the day, and the good aspects of your life.

I can guarantee you, you are a beautiful guy or girl, and you have so much to offer the world. Embrace your individuality, and let your light shine!  Feel happy about your potential to make the planet a better place, and know that you can do anything that you set your mind to.

So, even if it's cold where you are reading this from today, I hope you now feel a bit more warmed-up.  You rock!

I Like This Quote...

Daliens!!  What's up!!  How are you guys and girls!?  I am awake very early for a Saturday!  As I've mentioned numerous times, I have a lot of energy haha.  Today I will head down to the OC and visit with some of my friends from my college, and also see MAMA DALEY and her crazy pup, PUNKY!  I'll be sure to share some pics with all of you!

What are you up to today?!  Where are you going?  A quote from David Livingstone reads, "I'll go provided it be forward."

I really like this quote, and I thought I'd share some internal thoughts about it with all of you!  I believe that it's important to consider this quote when facing your decisions for your day.  Often times we spend too much time thinking about the past and the future, that we miss the current moment today!  Regardless of what has happened in your past, we are all a work-in-progress, and are constantly learning.  We have all made mistakes and have faced hardships in the past.  The key is to not dwell on the past.  The past is over!  And the future is uncertain. The only moment that we have any "control" over is the exact one that we are in.

I always try to keep moving forward, keeping my focus being the best person that I can be.  Will I make mistakes?  Yes.  And I will learn from them, and keep moving forward!  -- All the while, enjoying the gift of the current day.

I share more thoughts on this topic in the video below, with my side-kick, Benice Begas!  I like to ramble on a bit haha.  Thanks for checking out DaleyPlanet!  -- I hope you get a kick out of the still-frame on this video hahah -

Have a great day -

Jesse xx
