Hi there, guys and girls and happy Saturday!  I hope that your weekend is going well so far.  It's a very hot weekend here in Los Angeles, (I love the heat) and I've been outside a lot, enjoying the sunshine. I've also been thinking a lot about life (and love), and I have a few thoughts to share about what I believe  about things that are "meant to be" in life.

I firmly believe that in life, (and in love), things happen when they are meant to happen.  There is always a reason that something occurs, - even though you might not understand what that reason is at the time.  Let's be honest, it's certainly not easy to understand how something is "meant to be", especially when you're going through a hard time such as a break-up, losing your job, or losing a loved one.  However, though some of these events can be excruciatingly painful, I believe that there are no mistakes in life, including hard times and struggles.  The hard times are the ones that make us stronger.

When I am struggling with something in my life, whether it be in my acting career, or a hard situation within my personal life, I try to take everything minute by minute.  I constantly remind myself that the struggle (or challenge) will become easier, day by day.  It will make me a stronger person, and I will learn from every experience that I have, (whether it's a great experience or a hurtful experience.)

During tough times, we have a choice to either face a difficulty, or to run from it.  That choice is completely in your control.  And you must remind yourself that there are many things that are out of your control.  In fact, most everything in life is out of our control.  But, you always have a choice about how you react to any situation.  Choose to react to any situation in a positive manner, and fully embrace each day and the experiences that come with it, no matter how difficult that may be.  For example, if you have recently lost someone that you cared very much about, focus on all of the good times that you shared with that person, and know that a part of them will always be with you.

You are much stronger than you may think, and whatever life throws at you, know that you can handle it.  The day in which you are living right now is a day that is meant to happen in your life.  You are right where you're supposed to be.

Really BELIEVE In Yourself!

Happy Friday, guys and girls!!  I hope that your day has been off to a great start.  My day has been good!  I've been doing a lot of writing, and focusing on the great things in my life.  Even when there is a bit of a struggle, we must aim to keep our heads up and focus on the positives!

Keeping your thoughts positive and encouraging  is essential to your success.  And do you know what else is essential?  It's essential that you believe the positive thoughts that you're putting out in the world and you're telling yourself.  The purpose of this post is to remind you all that when you make a positive affirmation to yourself - or to the world - you must not have any doubt about what you're saying!

For example, if you want to find love, or if you want to accomplish a goal, constantly remain focused on trusting that it will happen.  Remind yourself that keeping your mind in a positive state will help you.  Write your positive affirmations, and your goals, and do not allow any room for any negativity to affect what you KNOW will be true.  Believe, my friends!

Believe in yourself, and the power of your dreams.  xx

I Love Hearing Stories Like This One!

Hey, guys and girls!  I was recently informed about the annual “National Suit Drive” which is put on by “Men’s Warehouse” stores.  During the month of July, we are all able to donate our lightly worn attire (men’s and women’s) to any of the “Men’s Warehouse” stores, and the clothing that is collected at the drive will be donated to non-profit organizations which help unemployed individuals!  Even actor Joe Manganiello from television series, True Blood (pictured here on my blog,) donated a suit at the drive – what a cool dude!  Joe - thank you for being such an inspirational guy!

Let’s all do what we can to give back and help others, every single day.  If you’re interested in donating any clothing, check out Menswarehouse.com.  Lots of love, everyone!  x

Actors (and all) Friends :  Keep Your Head Up! You're Loved!

Hello, guys and girls!  I hope that you've had a wonderful 4th of July this past weekend!  I had a great time spending the 4th in beautiful Newport Beach, CA, and then I headed to San Diego for the weekend.  It was nice to be down at the beach in San Diego, just enjoying the sunshine and watching the waves roll in. I feel very fortunate to have so many amazing friends and family!

I spent a lot of time this weekend thinking about my life as an actor and my life in Hollywood. Though it's incredibly amazing, it can seriously prove to be emotionally exhausting at times! My actor-friends will agree with me that there certainly is a lot of rejection!  And sometimes, rejection can be very, very hurtful.

When you experience rejection in the form of not booking the job as an actor, - similar to when you experience rejection from a person that you love and care very much about, - you can be left feeling very sad and confused. But you must not question your abilities as an actor - and you should never doubt your own self-worth as a person.  You are awesome, just the way you are.

We must remind ourselves that we are strong and that we will make it through any difficult time. Everything happens for a reason.  And just like the waves that roll in at the ocean, you can roll with any situation in your life that is difficult today.  It may not be easy, but you are strong enough to keep moving. Never give up.  I believe in you (and so do many others!)  For more thoughts about the rejection that can come with an acting career - and how to cope with it - check out my article on Acting.About.com (click here).

We have a choice about how we view the world every single day - even if you're going through a tough time.  You owe it to yourself to choose to be happy, and to choose to share too much love with others.  And most importantly, remind yourself  that you are loved.  <3

Never Have Regrets!

Time goes by very, very fast. In fact - it truly does go by too fast!

Though you may feel that this is "obvious," be sure that you fully understand the significance of this reality! Because time passes so quickly - you never want to look back and say "I should have tried something."

I challenge you to look within yourself and really ask, "Am I Iiving each day to my fullest potential?"

This question may be difficult to answer sometimes - especially when you are working hard towards a goal and don't seem to be reaching it.   However, it is crucial to constantly remind yourself that all we have is right now. There are no second chances in life - and there are no guarantees!

Think about if you are truly happy - and aim to achieve happiness in every moment that you possibly can!

If you feel that you need to make some changes in order to be happy, then that is OK too! Start today and make your dreams come true. Follow all of your dreams, and you will never have regrets :)
