That #SNL Skit About #California Is 100% Accurate....

8/29/2014

Happy early-Friday morning, guys and girls!  I had to write this to you, because it completely describes the typical Southern California lifestyle (at least when it comes to driving!)  This is not an exaggeration at all - and it's also why that hilarious ski on Saturday Night Live, "The Californians," is 100% accurate.

Due to freeway closures/detours tonight, this was my route from Orange County back here to LA: I took the 405N to the 55N to the 5N to the 91W to the 605N, then back over to the 5N to the 710N to the 60W to the 101N.

The only thing that would have made this true story more ridiculous would have been if I was actually going to "Marina Del Rahhh" (as the actors famously say on SNL!)  Haha!

Gotta love California! Come out and visit us, my friends!! :)  xx

Live Your Dream

Happy early Monday morning, guys and girls!  I feel very energized for 3:00 AM!  That's probably going to mean that I'll crash in the afternoon!  However, what I love about feeling super-energized is that I'm able to put many of my thoughts down on "virtual" paper, here on my blog!  And I truly appreciate your taking the time to read my thoughts!

This Morning's Thoughts:

As many of you know, I feel that it is very important to follow your heart, and listen to (and trust) your instincts.  By listening to your instincts, you will become more in-tune with what your true desires are for your life.  At times, I believe that it is normal for all of us to feel a little "lost," yet these are the times that you must force yourself to pay attention to what your heart is telling you.

There is no time to waste in life.  What is it that you truly want to do?  Who is the type of guy or girl who you'd like to be in a relationship with?  Focus your mind and energy on paying attention to the answers to these (and similar) questions.  You can create your destiny, through faith, by being true to who you are, and being true to your inner desires.

Although much of what occurs in life is out of our control, we are always able to control the kind of life that we hope to live - and the kind of love that we deserve to find - through believing-in and putting-out happiness and gratitude.

You deserve to be happy, and to be surrounded by love.  Listen to what your heart is telling you.  And live your dream today.  <3

DALEY Thursday-Morning Motivation!

Hey guys and girls!  Happy early-Thursday morning! I hope that you've been smiling too much already today!  If you've woken up feeling a bit sad today, I can guarantee you something:  things will get better. Things will always get better, if you keep moving forward, with a positive attitude.

It's extremely important in life to do the best that you can, every single day.  As an actor, for example, I deal with a lot of rejection in my career.  (My actor friends know what this can feel like!)  However, I have the choice to either let that rejection bring me down, or I can choose to allow it to make me a stronger person.  I choose to be strong.

The same is true in all aspects of life.  Choose to be strong, and to keep moving forward with a smile on your face, love in your heart, and your dreams at the front of your mind!  Motivate yourself to take things one day at a time, and to LIVE IT UP! x

Have a great day!! Lots of Love,

Jesse

Well ,That was Kind of Weird...!

Happy Saturday, guys and girls!  How's your weekend been treating you so far?! My Saturday has been great, and actually, Friday was amazing too! I spent a lot of time working on writing, preparing for an upcoming acting class, and I even met up with one of my childhood friends and we went to Runyon Canyon!  Super fun.  (Runyon Canyon is a pretty amazing hang out for actors, by the way.  If you live in L.A., I'm confident that you already know this!)

All of this aside, as the title of this posting reads, there was one "weird" thing that happened to me yesterday:  I received a brochure in the mail that was advertising a contest.  ....That's not that weird, you may be thinking!  Well, this particular brochure was advertising a contest to win a "Free Prepaid Cremation."  (Yes, you just read that correctly.)  As you can imagine, I was a bit shocked to receive this in the mail!  I suppose it was also a bit funny, as I have never received anything like that before! However, this little "reminder" about death was actually very thought provoking, and I wanted to share some of my thoughts with all of you.

In life, the topic of "death" is often avoided.  Yet, it is the one thing that none of us can escape.  This is not meant to scare anyone, it is just a reality of "physical" life.  And this brochure in the mail was just another reminder to me to live it up, each and every day.

Many of you, my amazing readers, know that I am passionate about cherishing each and every moment.  But, that certainly doesn't mean that all days are "perfect" and "easy."  Life can be hard sometimes, and we must always choose to focus on the positives, and focus on the blessings that we have in each of our lives!  We only live once - (at least as far as our natural/physical life is concerned!)

Enjoy this day, and try your very best to enjoy each and every moment.  :)

When You Go To Bed Tonight...

...I'd like for you to do me a little favor.  (I'll explain below, but first, I'll start my post!)  -- How's your night coming along, guys and girls?!  I hope you're smiling at the moment.  We all need to try and feel as happy as we possibly can, at all times.  I, for one, am feeling pretty great right now, as I've got a beer in hand!  (Just one, don't worry!)  Haha.

I was just sitting here thinking about life, and also thinking about my future goals and dreams.  (Gosh, there's a lot that I want to do!)  But I also love taking a little bit of time at the end of the day to simply reflect on the now.

Many of us spend a lot of time thinking about the past and in the future, when all that we have is right this moment.  Things can change in a split second, so it's important that we all take steps to feel as good as we possibly can about ourselves and our lives.

As I point out in my latest article on acting.about.com, (in which I talk about the incredible Mr. Robin Williams,)  there are struggles that all of us have.  We are all dealing with something in life, and we need to be good to each other at all times.  It's impossible to know the kind of hardship that someone may be facing.  We need to treat every day as a gift, and if you're not feeling great, you can and will feel better.  You may need a little bit of assistance in feeling better, and that is perfectly OK! In fact, I think it's great to seek help in order to feel the best that we possibly can.  Check my article above  (on acting.about.com) for some tips.

So, about that favor that I mentioned above.  Please, do me a little favor tonight.  First of all, smile, and remind yourself that YOU are amazing.  And when you wake up in the morning, vow to tell someone else that they are amazing, too.  Let's always share the love, and try to make each one of our days a happy one.

LOTS OF LOVE!  <3

Accepting Things That Are Difficult...

Happy Thursday, my friends!  I was just on one of the soap operas working today!  (Today was just "extra" work, but it was still super fun, and I really love being on set and meeting people!)  Now, onto some thoughts that I've had today!

Change

One of the hardest things that we must learn to do in life is to accept something that we cannot change, especially if that "something" is hurtful.  Change can be a scary thing.  However, it is also something that is a blessing, as it allows for a new beginning, no matter how difficult it can be.

Change is a reality of life, and we must learn to embrace it.  I've been learning how to adjust to a change recently in my life, and it has been tough.  But, I know that change makes us stronger, and leads us to destinations that we had not previously considered!

I suggest that you take life one minute at a time, and enjoy all of it!  Everything will ultimately change, even though we as a species like to "pretend" that things will not change.  Change is inevitable, and when things change, there is always a reason.

Enjoy the rest of your day, my friends :)

Tuesday Thoughts!

Happy Tuesday, guys and girls!  I hope that the start to your week has been a beautiful one!  I had a great time this past weekend seeing friends, - and also my Mom - in Orange County!  It is so important to spend time with those who mean a lot to you.

What I've recently come to understand more is that life truly is way too short to wait for anything.  If you have something that you want to do, or if you have something that you want to say to somebody, do not wait.  Honestly, think right now about someone in your life whom you would like to say something to.  Why have you been waiting to speak to them?  Did you go through a break-up and still feel like you need to say something, for example?  Do it!

Send an email right now, pick up your phone, or drive over to the home of someone whom you care about, and say what you need to say.  In life, we get one "ride," and you've got to truly live each and every day to the fullest.

Don't live your life with regrets.  We all make mistakes.  But if you own up to your mistakes and are willing to do better next time, then you are doing a great job.

Enjoy this beautiful day :)  x
