Living in Hollywood and pursuing acting as a career takes an incredible amount of self discipline, and in order to keep moving, and stay motivated, I've found that you must be in a good state of mental and emotional health. Meditating for a few minutes a day helps me to feel great. And it "calms" my mind, allowing me to focus on that things that I need to do.
Knowing what you want to accomplish in your career and in your life is also very important. Set your GOALS as an actor/artist, and then try meditating on those goals. I guarantee you will find it to be helpful in many areas of your life!
