Be as Productive as Possible This Weekend!

Happy Weekend, guys and girls!

I'd like to preface this post on Behind The Sign with a note to our friends down in the Southeast of the United States and the Caribbean who have been affected by Hurricane Matthew:  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  Stay safe.

All the way out here in California, life has been moving along as usual.  Although last week there was an advisory about an "increased risk for a potential earthquake," so far, we've fortunately been safe and shake-free!

California life in general, however, (like our fault lines!) is always on the move! Something that I've realized about Southern California is that we Californians are always on the move!  It's actually a lot of fun!  That being said, I've also noticed that many of us are running around, always "busy" but not necessarily always being very productive!

I've found that regardless of where any of us live, it's very important to differentiate from being "busy" and being "productive."  I'll use myself as a prime example!

As many of you know, I like to be very busy and I love feeling like I'm doing lots of different things.  It keeps life exciting!  However, not too long ago there came a point in time when I was feeling like I was all over the place, and although I was very "busy," I wasn't accomplishing a whole lot! I realized that it is crucial to take one thing at a time, fight one battle at a time, in order to move on to whatever is next!

So, this weekend my friends, ask yourselves where you are placing the majority of your time.  Are you focusing on one goal?  Or 40 goals all at once?  Take one step at a time. When you do, you'll start to see that you can accomplish all of those goals that you have, but you'll also see that you don't have to accomplish all of them at the same time. Focus on one goal, and give it your full attention.  It's much more productive that trying to spread yourself thin doing a million things at once.

I hope you're now motivated this weekend to use your time productively!

And, speaking of motivation, I wanted to share some awesome news with all of you again!!  --

A speech which I wrote and narrated is available for download from "Fearless Soul," and I'd really appreciate if you check it out!  If you search, "Success is a journey not a destination" in the iTunes Store, you'll find it!  Thank you!!

Have a beautiful day everyone, and lots of love!

Jesse xx
